Psalm 23 ~ Elaborated

The Lord is my Shepherd~That's relationship!
I shall not be in want~That's supply!
He makes me lie down in green pastures~That's rest!
He leads me beside quiet waters~That's refreshment!
He restores my soul~That's healing!
He guides me in the paths of righteousness~That's guidance!
For His name's sake~That's purpose!
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death~

That's testing!

I will fear no evil~That's protection!

For You are with me~ That's faithfulness!

Your rod and the staff, they comfort me~That's discipline!

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies~

That's hope!

You anoint my head with oil~That's consecration!

My cup overflows~That's abundance!

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life~

That's blessing!

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord~That's security!

Forever~That's eternity!

Found the Culprit

Now we know how our neighbor's partially eaten apples are getting over into our yard! The flash scared him
But he is still keeping an eye on me!
My tulip and daffodil bulbs are being dug up along with a new little tree I planted down by the creek. I didn't get a picture of them, but discovered the culprits. There were three little chipmunks running around in my yard this week! I have not seen them the past couple of days, so maybe someone else in the neighborhood is enjoying those cute, but destructive, little critters!
Isn't the raccoon cute?!?!?! I wanted to hold him...but I know better. :?)

Do Birds Suffer From Empty Nest Syndrome?

In the last few days I have been enjoying watching parent robins feeding their babies. Yesterday morning as I watched them I literally prayed this prayer, "Father, I would love to experience one of their first flights?"
This morning as I was out watering the plants(yes, I brought the rain on!) I looked up to see that the biggest of the babies had walked up to the top of the rain spout. Just minutes before I had watched it being fed. I talked to the little guy, "Hey, what is your mom going to do when she finds you clear up there?" Shortly after that it flew over to the rail on my kitchen deck! It went back and forth from the rail to the top of the chair. It let me come up the steps, go inside for the camera, come out and take pictures! I wondered if it would be able to fly back up to the nest. Instead, it flew all the way to the tree on the west side of my back yard!
I sure did enjoy that answer to prayer! Thank-you Father.
As the day has progressed it has been on my mind that God does listen to our simplest prayers! I was thinking about things I need to take more seriously and take more time and take them to God in prayer.
Prayer does make a difference! Time spent in prayer can change things!
